Garlic Girl

Chopping mass quantities of onion and garlic in front of the television is, um, interesting when rats get involved. They find alliums most worthy of stealing. If only it had been Magrat stealing the garlic.  Heh.

Amelia checks this garlic out.

  1. If they had Thumbs, we’d be doomed.
[But they don’t know that cooking makes food better.]
… if they had Thumbs and Fire, we’d be doomed.

    Do rats get bad breath?

  2. Oh yes, if they evolve thumbs, we’re in trouble. They do have little thumb buds and they are always trying to carry things the way we do, so one of these centuries, I expect they’ll get their thumbs. They do all too well without them as it stands. Bad breath? Nope, not that I’ve ever noticed.

  3. Squee!

My cat Chloe has thumbs* and she knows how to use them.

    *She’s polydactyl.

  4. “What do you mean, “slow of mind”?

The penny only just now dropped. Magrat…stealing Garlic(k)….
    *forehead-slap*
    D’oh!

  5. Garlic and Nutella? Choose? I’m pretty sure rats don’t believe in having to choose, they believe in having it all! At any rate, Nutella would win, absolutely. Don’t feel bad – it took a while for the penny to drop and I realized how Discworldian the thieving could have been. :D
